We reserved the entire Cashew Hill Jungle Lodge for eight days and seven night of yoga, surfing and chilling out. Having received the Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence, Cashew Hill is surrounded by jungle, nature and ocean and is just a ten minute walk to the center of Puerto Viejo.

Lodging Details & Reservations
February 24 to March 3rd, 2018
Your eight day and seven night stay at Cashew Hill Jungle Lodge is located on a beautiful jungle hill overlooking the ocean and the town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. It is a short few blocks away to town center and just steps away from the 14 kilometers of sandy coastline. Oh and I think we should mention there is a private pool on site as well.
Cashew Hill is tucked away in the arms of the jungle rainforest. It truly is wild, yes there are creatures and yes it does rain in the rainforest. Even the most luxury restaurants and resorts are not cut off from the influence of the surrounding natural world. It is likely that you will see wild sloths, monkeys, geckos and butterflies. Living in harmony with this nature habitat is a huge reason why so many travelers come to this part of the world. Our daily yoga practices help to enhance this unity providing an opportunity to tap into her rhythm.
All of Cashew Hill’s accommodations are simple, stand-alone cottages, with three or more comfortable twin beds. Some are two floors, others are just one. All cottages are equipped with electricity, hot water, showers, and open seating areas.
Couples Welcome: We love having couples on our retreats. At Cashew Hill we have a limited number of cottages with this availability. But this is our guarantee, your room will be private, with a double bed or larger but you will be sharing the cottage with one or two other people as well as the bathroom. Let us know if you have any questions. A couples reservation or deposit needs to be made together via the PayPal buttons below. Because all of these cottages are typically twin beds, there will be a $150 setup fee to accommodate each couple.
MAKING YOUR RESERVATION:
Via the PayPal buttons below is where you can make your reservation. AirFare NOT included. If you are making a Deposit it will be subtracted from the total cost of the trip.
Note: When making your reservation please make sure you note if you are coming with a friend and if would like to room with them. If you are curious about how we group people for their stay please scroll to the FAQs below.
PAYMENT PLAN: If you like to pay in installments email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Three-Payment Option". Absolute last payment is due February 1st. CURRENTLY we are working to set up a "Three-Payment Option" on PayPal. Until we get that working this is what it looks like: $500 deposit (initial payment), then the remaining balance will be split into two equal payments (each automatically billed 30 days apart from the date of your initial deposit), and all charges will go on the same credit card. There is currently a glitch in the paypal system for this particular payment plan, stay tuned to hear once it is working properly again.

1. "A FEW FRIENDS OF MINE ARE INTERESTED IN GOING, BUT MORE BEGINNER AS FAR AS YOGA GOES. IS THAT OK? I.E. THEY'VE DONE YOGA only once or twice."
Answer: All people are welcome even if they have never practiced yoga. All of our yoga sessions are fun, somewhat challenging, and accessible to all students; newbies to advanced practitioners. Also, Yoga is optional, no need to attend although it is a great and invigorating way to start and close out your day.
2. "IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE RIGOROUS? I'M THINKING, WILL WE BE GETTING UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN PRACTICING YOGA? I'M REALLY LOOKING FOR A SPACE TO UNWIND + RELAX + BE OUTDOORS + JUST WANT TO KNOW IF WE'LL HAVE SCHEDULED THINGS ALL DAY OR IF IT'S MORE LAX?"
Answer: This retreat is all yours. Our mission is to create a space to tap into all the things you mentioned, chillaxing..etc, also provide opportunities to explore and connect with nature (via hiking, surfing, animal rescue, swimming, sunbathing...), yourself (via yoga, meditation, workshops, journaling...) and others (via group meals, visiting the community around us and other activities). Activities are optional but encouraged. What we have experienced is the greater the group participation the greater and more satisfying the retreat experience is for everyone
3. "IF I AM TRAVELING SOLO WHO WILL I BE ROOMING WITH?"
Answer: Great question! All of Cashew Hill’s unique, stand-alone cottages are shared with three or more people. We group people based on a couple things. Gender: we will match people of the same sex. There has been situations in the past where we have an odd number of men and woman in which case we will ask a few people if they are comfortable rooming with someone of a different gender. Vibe: we know almost all of the students that attend our retreats and when matching up roommates we trust our instincts and knowledge of our students in selecting who will room with who. Of all the retreats we have completed, the people we have paired have never had a problem. It is one of our goals to keep an open and accepting environment at all times.
4. "WILL THERE BE WIFI AT THE RESORT?"
Answer: Yes but not always reliable. As part of this retreat we ask everyone to adhere to a week long "digital detox" meaning; use your technology as little as possible. We understand if you need to check-in with love ones or work etc. If you do, we ask you to please keep it to a minimum, and when and if you do pick up your "phone" please do so away from the group allowing others to maintain their detox and to avoid temptations. (thank you!) Please feel free to contact Avani at Cashew Hill to ask about their wifi: firstname.lastname@example.org
5. What if I'm not a vegetarian?
Although Cashew Hill only offers vegetarian meals, there are non vegetarian options just 3 blocks away including meat and fresh fish.
6. DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?
Answer: Yes! It works like this, only three payments, the $500 Deposit then two final payments that will split your remaining balance. Last payment due January 17, 2018.
