Join the The Yoga Adventure as we escape to the beauty of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala; described by Lonely Planet as “the closest thing to Eden on Earth".
We are thrilled to go back and partner again up with the majestic Isla Verde Retreat Center. From the mountainous and Volcanic surroundings, to the flowers hanging over Isle Verde's open-air yoga shala and to the deep-blue water of Lake Atitlan, we were impressed and in awe of its beauty.
On March 3-9th, 2019, join Will Schneider and the TYA Team as we return to Guatemala for more fun, to escape the cold winter, recharge, reconnect with nature, and meet great people. This will be an incredibly satisfying week through our twice-daily yoga practices, morning meditations, breath-work and by experiencing why Lake Atitlan is called a modern day Eden.
No yoga experience required. So if you have been curious about yoga and love to travel or love your practice and have yet to visit Guatemala, drop into this Mayan culture and experience how yoga, adventure and connecting to like-minded souls creates an event that may change the course of your life. Or maybe Guatemala will just be one of those places you'll talk about the rest of your life.

The mission of Isle Verde kitchen and gardens is to create a space where our customers can have a healthy experience for themselves and for our environment. Let us grow food for you, let us cook for you, let us take our time… we are simply ensuring that what gets to you is food, and on the way, we are taking the joy of doing it, packing our plates with patience and love.
Our kitchen produces all of our meals, avoiding packaged goods, to ensure that what you eat is precisely FOOD and not a food-like product. Breads, desserts, sauces, jams, patés, pasta, ice creams, granola, yogurt… it all was produced by our girls in the kitchen.
The Ultimate Dining Atmosphere
Relax… take your time… enjoy the breathtaking view, the sound of the waves lapping below, and the hummingbirds feeding from the flowers around you. Slow food restores the cultural dignity to food and the slow rhythms of conviviality to the table. Let us rediscover the flavors, savors and pleasures of eating.

FrEquently asked Question:
1. "A FEW FRIENDS OF MINE ARE INTERESTED IN GOING, BUT MORE BEGINNER AS FAR AS YOGA GOES. IS THAT OK? I.E. THEY'VE DONE YOGA CLASSES HERE + THERE..."
Answer: All people are welcome even if they have never practiced yoga. All of our yoga sessions are fun, somewhat challenging, but accessible to all students; newbies to advanced practioners.
2. "IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE RIGOROUS? I'M MORESO THINKING, WILL WE BE GETTING UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN PRACTICING YOGA? I'M REALLY LOOKING FOR A SPACE TO UNWIND + RELAX + BE OUTDOORS + JUST WANT TO KNOW IF WE'LL HAVE SCHEDULED THINGS ALL DAY OR IF IT'S MORE LAX?"
Answer: This retreat is all yours. Our mission is to create a space to tap into all the things you mentioned, chillaxing..etc, and also provide opportunities to explore and connect with nature (via hiking, surfing, animal rescue, swimming, sunbathing...), yourself (via yoga, meditation, workshops, journaling...) and others- group meals, visiting the community around us and other activities. We do have activities planned some days but ALL of them are optional; Not mandatory but encouraged. What we have experienced is the greater the group participation the greater and more satisfying the retreat experience is for everyone.
3. "IF I AM TRAVELING SOLO WHO WILL I BE ROOMING WITH?"
Answer: Great question! We group people based on a couple things. Gender: We will match people of the same sex. There have been situations in the past where we have an odd number of men and woman in which case we will ask a few people if they are comfortable rooming with someone of a different gender. Vibe: we know almost all of the students that attend our retreats and when matching up roommates we trust our instincts and knowledge of our students in selecting who will room with who. Of all the retreats we have completed, the people we have paired have never had a problem. One of our goals to keep an open and accepting environment at all times. If anything ever comes up, please bring it to the team we will gladly help.
4. "WILL THERE BE WIFI AT THE RESORT?"
Answer: Yes there is but I don't know how reliable it is. As part of this retreat we ask all of our students to adhere to a week long "digital detox" meaning; use your technology as little as possible. We understand if you need to check-in with love ones or work etc. If you do all we ask you to please keep it to a minimum. and when and if you do pick up your "phone" please do so away from the rest of the group allowing others to maintain their detox and to avoid temptations. We appreciate it! If you have more wifi questions please EMAIL Isla Verde.
5. DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?
Answer: Yes! And it works like this, only three payments, the $500 Deposit then two final payments that will split your remaining balance. Last payment due January 22, 2019.
